Comments on Proposed NSPS Regulations – RIN 3206-AK76/0790-AH82

To: Whom it may concern,

We as government workers are about to face one of the most disturbing change in history under the newly proposed National Security Personnel System (NSPS). It does nothing more than put the “employee” at the mercy of the Secretary of Defense. It allows for little to no protection for the employee. DoD workers will be subjected to dictatorship by which, no method of due process is afforded. Employees will be removed fro the sole purpose of providing employment to management’s family members, friends and those who are a loyalist DoD and the Secretary of Defense, instituting and promoting once again nepotism.

As a Federal employee of the Department of Defense, I am extremely concerned that our congress has empowered the Secretary of Defense in a manner, which allows him to be a dictator under the disguise of national security. The imposition of NSPS has created a system, by which, takes the rights of employees and their unions to effectively represent labor issues. This need for “flexibility” has been in effect for many years without adversely impacting the Department of Defense. The necessity to subject and interrupt the livelihood of our dedicated and most trustworthy government employees is ludicrous.
